Down deep in my life, I suppose, I knew that I needed something, kind of like when you are putting together one of those 1000 piece puzzles and the most important pieces are missing. I spent the first 20 years of my life trying to find that missing piece. Sure I tried everything: the parties, the drinking. And when most of my friends started using drugs, guess what? I used them too.

At the time I didn't know the damage I was doing to myself and to the ones I love. It was all about my search, for truth and the missing piece to my life. Through some conversations with a Christian that I worked with, I became interested in religion. It would be real easy to tell you that I started going to church and because of that everything in my life is great…but it didn't happen like that. I spent a lot of time in Bible studies and doing all the religious things the church did. And guess what I found—that I was still searching. Religion, did at first seem to fill my life, but left me thirsting.

It was with a group of co-workers that I learned about what it means to have a relationship with God. I knew at that point that God was the missing piece. Sure, I still struggle with issues at different times. And there are times I am disappointed; but there is a difference now. There is a sure foundation in my life. That foundation is the True Son of God—Jesus Christ. Jesus has made all the difference in my life and to Him be all the Glory.
